Dear Early Childhood Center Families,
Welcome to the start of a wonderful new school year at the ECC! Whether you are returning or joining us for the first time, we are thrilled to welcome your family into our caring, high-quality, licensed early childhood environment built on hands-on learning. Our top priority remains the safety, security, and well-being of your children, and we are looking forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and joy.
Meet Our Leadership & Support Team
We are proud to introduce our leadership team and dynamic staff—combining trusted, familiar faces with wonderful new additions:

Important Dates & Food Service Information
- First Day of School: August 31st (for year-round students).
- Open House: September 1st, 5:30 – 7:00 PM.
- Early Close: The center closes early, at 5:00 PM, on the first Monday of each month.
- Food Service Begins: The week of September 8th.
Because district food service does not begin until September 8th, please remember to send your child with breakfast and lunch each day until then. Snacks will be provided daily by the ECC.
For families with children ages 3 and under who would like to purchase breakfast and lunch once service starts, please visit the food service portal at www.lakeshoreschools.org/departments/food_service.
Safety, Security, & Facility Updates
Safety is our number one priority. Thank you for your patience as we finalize our upgraded security systems, including our new camera setup. Additional facility updates are coming soon to keep our building as safe and welcoming as possible.
Billing & Operations
- Bi-Weekly Billing: Tuition billing will now run on a bi-weekly schedule. If you have any billing questions, please email Mrs. Kelly Biondo.
- Enrollment Folders: Every child should receive an enrollment folder containing updated information. Please review these materials carefully.
- Get Involved: We are excited to launch our new Parent Engagement Committees this year! Look for details in your folder on how to join and help shape our community.
Staying Connected: Newsletters & Communication Updates
Later this month, all families will receive an updated newsletter featuring bios for all of our staff. Monthly newsletters will be sent via Brightwheel and posted on our website and social media pages. Be sure to follow us on social media to stay up to date on all things ECC!
Our center is tech-free, and this has brought a few changes to how we communicate. Staff will be sending morning and afternoon updates as outlined in your enrollment folder. For urgent matters, please call the office at (586) 285-8595.
You will receive an updated enrollment folder with our new procedures and information.

Please take a moment to let us know the exact date your child will be returning to the ECC so we can ensure everything is ready for their arrival.
