Early Childhood Center Weekly Update

St. Clair Skippers:

Happy February Families!! We don't know how it has snuck up on us so fast but it's here. ❤️ This week we have been working on the letter Pp and our numbers. We haven't done questions of the day this week other than to work with them on identifying what is a letter 🔠 and what is a number. 🔢 We traced numbers and had a number puzzle so we can count and see the number to help with recognizing numbers with counting. Next week will be all about Valentine's Day. Please remember to make your box and bring it in for our classroom valentines. Our party will be on Thursday, so we will pass them out then. It will make it easier to pass them out in class if only the from part is filled out. We appreciate your assistance with this. Thank you for all of the support and goodies for our ice cream bar! Have a great weekend! Ms. Alicia and Ms. Amanda

Nautical Stars:

 Happy Friday Families😊

Maritime Mates:

Hello Families! This week we learned about the letter H. We learned that house 🏠, hand 🤚,heart all start with H. The children had fun making the crafts this week. We continue to work on gross motor skills while in the gym. They love running around and climbing on the slide 🛝. We played in our sensory bin and with Play-Doh to strengthen our fine motor skills. We also used fine motor skills by gluing and coloring on paper. Next week we are going to focus on Valentine's Day! We will be celebrating Valentine's Day Wednesday, February 11th!. If you would like to send in Valentines for your child's classmates this is totally fine. We have 10 kids in the classroom. ‼️Please keep in mind we are a nut-free school.‼️ -On Monday families need to circle if your child will have breakfast or lunch for the whole week. Please remember to take all of your child's belongings home from their cubbies on Friday.! Also please make sure to take the art from their art cubbies! Have a wonderful weekend! Ms. Erin Ms. Olga

Shorianettes:

Happy Friday! We made it though another week! Our theme of the week has been transitions. We have let new friends visit our room and our friends have visited other rooms to get to know the new friends and teachers. We have also been working on sharing our vacuums this week. They are a hot commodity and we have had to take extra turns as we all want to help “clean” the room. We explored markers, pencils, and crayons. We worked our fine motor skills with pop-its and building blocks. We continued with circle time, reading ABC, 123, and colors, and a song to welcome all the children for the day. We do simple sign language such as book, more, please, mom, dad, etc. The child have picked up on it well. We worked on our gross motor skills this week, playing with balls, bubbles, music, and dancing to our favorite songs. We are still working on washing hands as well as supporting our friends who are not fully walking yet. We hope you have a great weekend and we will see you all bright and early Monday morning. Miss Angel, Miss Skye, Mr. Cris
